Really good food, very fresh. Amazing wait staff. Very clean. It's a bit on the expensive side. And they are conservative on their portion sizes. But I eat here a couple times a month.

Arriving at 2PM, i order drip coffee. Which apparently is hours old. The veggie sandwich on a cibatta roll is so heavily laden with mayo that it oozes mayo out. I was terribly hungry from traveling and perhaps that adds to my irritation. I squeezed out as much liquid as I could and ate it. I ordered a veggie san as the server could not affirm that the meats they used were not laden in sodium nitrite. ( well,we order whole cooked, frozen breasts from Cash and Carry and serve them..) Ditch mayo on veggie sandwiches. A little seasoned olive oil, lightly applied would be more creative, healthier and tastier. Know what goes into the food you serve. No, I won't be back. Antacids should be served as a dessert.

I stopped in due to yelp reviews. I had the chicken cordon blue sandwich. The pasta as a side was a good pasta salad with curly pasta, olives, onion, carrot, and Italian salad dressing. The sandwich was on very nice ciabatta roll, fresh lettuce and tomato, and the honey mustard sauce was yummy but the chicken pieces and the ham slice were both very processed meats similar to subway. It would have been so much better with real chicken breast or even just slices of real chicken breast.

The Almond Joy Mocha will knock your socks off! Soooooo good. Nice, quaint, little joint. It is nice to have something like this in The Dalles, where most of your options are fast food and drive-thru. I am not 100% certain on this (I should have checked before I left) but I think they are only open Mon-Fri until 4:00pm. So for those of us that don't work close enough to hit this up on a lunch break..... darn. My boyfriend and I had lunch here on Veteran's Day this year. I was eager to try this (new to me) spot. It did not disappoint. Grilled sandwiches, salads, wraps, pita pizzas, and an extensive espresso and latte list. The service was great as well. The ladies there made us feel welcomed and happy to have our company. This is a small. cozy place and if you get a chance... stop by! I highly recommend the Hawaiian grilled sandwich.

Local restaurant with great food and friendly service. We stopped in on our way to Portland. I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu and my boyfriend ordered the Cottage Club. Both were hot and delicious. Their sandwiches come with either chips or pasta-I recommend the pasta. It was great! The Cottage Cafe is clean and has a cute look.
